Why We Built Cobot
Thilo Utke, Alexander Lang, and Kristina Schneider are the founders behind Cobot. They’ve worked together since 2006; and they operated and worked from our own coworking space in Berlin, co.up, in 2008.
Cobot was first developed as an in-house tool for that very coworking space. Pretty soon, other organizations were asking us if they could use it for their own operations and before we knew it we were helping coworking spaces all around the world.
Over ten years later, we’re as passionate as ever about the possibilities of coworking and enabling a collaborative, flexible, and ethical future of work. This attitude extends to our workplace culture; every day our team aspires to model our beliefs and to support the coworking spaces that depend on our software.
Today, Cobot helps hundreds of coworking spaces all over the world manage their operations and grow alongside their communities. We do what we do so that each and every one of them can focus on what really matters—time with their coworkers.

The primary goal of Cobot is to provide all the necessary tools so that coworking spaces can grow and flourish alongside their members, so that they may live more fulfilling lives and contribute positively to the lives of those around them.

We believe that workplaces must center human connection. Communities thrive when we practice collaboration, solidarity, empathy and participation. We are stronger the more diverse viewpoints and experiences are included and can have an impact.
