Word-of-mouth is one of the most trusted ways people discover new spaces. Your members are likely already sharing why they chose your space, so why not make it easier for them to invite others?
A referral program builds on this natural connection by encouraging members to invite people they already trust. It’s a simple way to turn everyday conversations into new memberships.

At Makerspace NYC 🇺🇸 , artists-in-residence recently hosted a public exhibition after six months of work, turning the coworking space into a community art destination. And that collaboration didn’t stop there. Just three days ago, artist Gabrielle Vitollo was featured on Makerpark Radio, where DJ Annette Pierce interviewed her for the Meet Your Maker segment, giving the project an entirely new dimension (yes, the Makerspace even has its own community-run radio station. How cool is that?).
Tip: Start with something simple, like a Friday “Show & Tell.” Keep it casual and community-first.

🖼 Collaborate With Art, Culture, and Wellness
We all know that coworking is much more than just sharing a workspace; it’s about creativity, connection, and well-being. That’s why your space can double as a cultural or wellness hub.
MOB Barcelona 🇪🇸 is a great example. This July, they have been running a weekly illustration course led by Pedro Porto, a very talented book author and illustrator. Moreover, they also host open-to-all weekly active meditation yoga sessions, offering members new ways to engage with the space and visitors a chance to explore what makes their community unique . But that’s not all, their event calendar is packed with everything from community breakfasts to after-work beers.
Tip: Even a single workshop or one-off open mic night can create a lasting impact. No need to commit to long-term partnerships right away.

Shared events with local nonprofits, meetups, or interest groups instantly expand your reach. You benefit from their existing network, and they get a beautiful space to gather.

Coworking associations can connect your space to a wider movement. They offer chances to meet other operators, share knowledge, and access exclusive resources. But they’re also powerful partners when it comes to building visibility and trust for your coworking space.
By getting involved in events and collaborations through associations, you’re placing your space in front of a targeted audience of coworking professionals, freelancers, and potential members who value community-driven workspaces.

📣 Online Collaboration Counts Too
