Hey First name / there,
We've talked about how important videos are for showing your coworking space, and have given you practical tips on how to shoot great videos, but we never really spoke much about which video editing software fits your needs best.
So let's do it! I have prepared a list of 7 video editing tools, from simple mobile-friendly tools that let you create videos in minutes (like CapCut), to more complicated, yet more powerful ones (like Premiere Pro).

📱Quick, collaborative, and mobile-friendly?
These tools are modern, easy to learn, and will cover most coworking space needs – especially if you're creating social media content or simple event videos.
1. Veed.io – Powerful, but not free ✅ Easy-to-use interface, automatic subtitles, great for teams. They also offer a mobile app, but I have not personally used it. ❌ Collaboration is only available in the higher pricing tiers. If you’re working with others, it’s one of the better options – but the cost can climb fast as your team grows.
2. CapCut – Powerful and free, but not safe ✅ Super simple and smooth on both mobile and desktop. It has everything your space will ever need. ❌ HOWEVER, collaboration is limited, and privacy is, to put it lightly, questionable: CapCut will use your videos to train its AI models. They recently changed their licence agreement, allowing themselves and partners to use any content without restrictions for their purposes, with no objection possible.
Honest opinion: We don't use CapCut at Cobot, but if you're willing to trade privacy for a free, powerful software, CapCut is probably the best choice.
3. YouCut – Free and good, but only on phone ✅ Good for quick edits on your phone, but lacking a web/computer app. ❌ I haven't tested it in depth, so I can't vouch for the quality. I'm mentioning it here because several creators seem to like it for mobile-only workflows :)
4. Canva (yes, Canva) ✅ If you’re already using Canva for social posts, you can use it for simple video editing too. ❌ But honestly… it’s very limited. I wouldn’t recommend it for anything beyond basic reels or animations. (Take this with a grain of salt, I am not a fan of Canva's products and often use any opportunity to badmouth them 😅)

Quick note: We have a mobile app!
If you are a Cobot customer, we have great news - we have released a mobile app for your members. It's free and included in your subscription. Learn more here.
Now back to the video editing tools 😅

🎥 Full control (but probably hard to learn)
These are the heavyweight champions of video editing – ideal if you want more control, features, or are creating polished content like interviews, virtual tours, or campaigns.
5. Adobe Premiere Pro – Very powerful, yet pricey ✅ Industry standard. It can do everything. ❌ But it’s not exactly beginner-friendly. Also, expensive. €25.99/month standalone or €38.97/month as part of Adobe Creative Cloud (including Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
6. DaVinci Resolve – Free and very powerful ✅ Almost as powerful as Premiere, and it’s free (as long as you download DaVinci Resolve, not Studio). ❌ Still not exactly a walk in the park. If you want the best mix of features and price (free), this is a great long-term option – just expect a learning curve.
7. Kdenlive – Free, open source, but not personally tested ✅ Free and open source. ❌ I haven’t personally used it, but I’ve heard good things.

What's best for your coworking space?
That really depends on how you like to work:
• If you're filming simple videos from your phone and want quick edits, go for CapCut, Veed.io, or YouCut.
• If you're looking for creative control or producing high-quality content, choose DaVinci or Premiere Pro.
But no matter what you pick, don’t get stuck in analysis mode. Like we said last time – grab your phone, press record, and get something out there. Even a short video of you putting up a poster can build awareness and trust.
